REMINDERS

• Quiz THIS Friday will include HANDWASHING PRACTICAL - make sure you are practicing! 
• Begin looking for someone to interview for your research paper.  You should have an interview set up for next week by Friday!
• Anticipate the Need posters due tomorrow - AVHS can turn in on Thursday
• Are you a female interested in participating in GetSet?                                                                                                                                                                            *You will need to attend a mandatory Orientation for both parents and students at Dublin High School - Thursday, September 22nd from 6:30-8:30, Performing Arts Center
• MARK YOUR CALENDARS - Please add the Tri-valley College & Career Fair October 12th from 6:30-8:30.  You will be required to attend so if you work start asking for this date off! NO EXCEPTIONS!

HOMEWORK

• Finish up the Infection Control packet as best as you can - spend no more than an hour on it tonight.  All of the info you need should be in there though.
• Need to bring in 100 index cards in class with a ziploc bag no later than NEXT THURSDAY! We have to push this back as I forgot next week is a short week.

This is merely an ask, obviously I understand that some of you may not be in the position to donate right now and that is ok!

• There will be a quiz tomorrow covering syllabus and classroom procedures, communication, Medical Alert Bracelets, HIPAA, & Medical Insurance.

HOMEWORK

• Go home and find out what kind of medical insurance you have and why.  Ask your parents how much monthly it costs your family, what are the copays etcetera... It will not be long before you will all need to get your own health insurance. Have parent sign off that you discussed health insurance with them.

Catch Yourself Being Yourself - Be aware of how you communicate with other people. 

HOMEWORK

• Watch Seinfeld Video located HERE - Why would I want you to watch this? (Besides the fact that Elaine is hilarious!) 
• Practice and teach someone ASL at home for 20 minutes, take a 30 second video of your "student" performing their new skills or a post it note from good old mom or dad saying you practiced for a full 20 minutes.

• Rally Schedules on Friday, AM - Check back here tomorrow for any schedule change. PM - Remember to pack a lunch as you will be tight on time coming to GHS on Friday.

Please read the article and take the quiz.  Come in tomorrow ready to discuss what kind of communicator you are and bring your quiz results with you!

Here are some reminders...
Follow the dress code - no underwear or bellies showing.
Bring in your sports schedule if you have one so I know if there are any conflicts.
Reminder: No cell phones. No gum. Also please do not wear perfume and/or cologne in class or at internship sites....too many allergies.

Traveling students - Remind me to pass out your parking passes if you did not receive them today - GHS will begin ticketing on Wednesday!

If you are reading this you have found our new blog for the Medical Occupations Class 2016-2017.  I am very excited to meet you all in person next Monday!
