PERRY INITIATIVE 

New post on STEM In Action High School Girls Interested in Medicine and Engineering… by steminactionblog High school girls may apply to participate for the Perry Initiative  Outreach Program on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara in Santa Clara, CA. The Perry Outreach Program is a free, one-day, hands-on experience for high school and college-aged women who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and engineering. Students will hear from women leaders in these fields and try it for themselves by performing mock orthopaedic surgeries and biomechanics experiments. Students who attended in the past highly recommend the event. The application may be accessed directly using the following link: http://perryinitiative.org/programs/student-online-application/.

Perry Outreach Program MAY be used as additional site hours or community service hours!

BLOOD DRIVE AT GHS - SIGN UP

The second drive this year is THURSDAY January 12th and FRIDAY January 13th.

Kids only need to register once and if they already registered in the past they can just log in. 

Online registering allows the Red Cross to schedule more effectively to out of class time is reduced!

There is a pink sign up sheet in our classroom on the board.

16 year olds really must use the pink sign-up sheet. The Red Cross system will not let them have an appointment online. They use the pink form and I will prepare a permission slip for them. When the Permission slip is turned in they get the appointment.
