The College Admissions “Arms Race” will be at Bankhead Theater in Livermore,                               Thursday, November 10th @7:30pm from 16-40 dollars per ticket.

Students and their parents are stressed to the breaking point over getting into college.  Witty and wise,  Julie Lythcott-Haims is a tonic for what ails this generation of kids and parents. While Stanford’s Dean of Freshmen, she became a fierce advocate for students and critical of parental involvement in the day-to-day lives of college students. Her first book, How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success was a New York Times best seller.  She will offer sound advice on the college application process and alternatives to the college admissions “arms race” frenzy.

If you are new and may not be aware GHS is very serious about our blood drives.  We hold a few records in the Bay Area and we have received multiple monetary awards in the last few years for our superior efforts in blood donations for the American Red Cross!
